Chris McCauley - Executive Chef/Manager
Chris comes to us by way of St. James Plantation and Carlton's Restaurant and Catering in Atlantic Beach. During his time on the Crystal Coast, Chris worked for years with Beaufort Food and Wine Festival, with award winning chefs such as Vivian Howard of Chef and the Farmer, Charles Park, Andy Hopper and more. He is the winner of the coveted Chef's Gala Dinner and is the youngest chef ever to win. Having basically grown up in the food industry, Chris definitley knows his way around the kitchen. He brings with him a breath fresh air, whipping up new and exciting dishes at every turn, with a focus on fresh, local, farm to table ingredients.
At the young age of 26, Chris is an old soul. He lives in Wilmington with his wife Jackie and their two dogs. He has a slight addiction to his giant salt water aquarium which he tends to almost an hour every day.
Having grown up with the waterway as his playgroud, on his days off, you'll find Chris enjoying all that coastal living has to offer, whether it be snorkling, diving, fishing or just hanging on the boat.

Paul Smith - Chef
Paul joined the PVM team in late 2004, stepping right in at the busy holiday time and proving himself instantly. His dreadlocks always tucked neatly under his “funny hat” as some people call it, have grown about a foot since we first got to know this quite, yet very witty chef. Paul loves a good movie and a round of disk golf on his time off. He went to high school and got his culinary degree in Southern Pines, NC. Paul is also responsible for many of the soups that you enjoy throughout the year.
Paul is no longer sporting the dreadlocks!
BJ Laverdiere - Mr. Everything
Bobby Jo "BJ" Laverdiere joined our team part time in 2013 and quickly made himself an invaluable member of the family. Most often you'll find BJ flipping pancakes and omelets during our breakfast shift, however his talents spread beyond eggs and bacon. Whether packing for a catering, prepping for our daily menu or setting up an event, his versitility and get it done attitude take BJ from one end of the market to the other with ease. BJ is native of Canada, which is why you'll find him in shorts no matter how cold the weather, earning him the title of resident Canadian Black Bear. He took a detour through Grand Caymun before calling Wilmington, NC home. BJ is a hard working dad of 2 elementary school kids, Ella and Tucker, who are the center of his world.

Laura Kellenberger - The Breakfast Lady
You'll find Laura scurring about the market during our breakfast hours. She will greet you with a smile and cheerful hello, often remembering your name even if it's your second visit. Laura's sweet disposition and gentle nature are just two of the reasons we love to have her around. SWhen we started breakfast service in 2013, Laura was the perfect match. Laura has been a part of the PVM family long before she herself joined the staff. Her son Clayton was part of the family for several years. The Kellenberger family has been part of our family since 2005. You will often find Clay supporting us and his mom most Sunday monrings for breakfast.
